Refunds: how they work and how to request one Print

  • 0

Sometimes things don't go the way you expected and you need to step back. Here's what can be refunded and how to ask for it.

What can be refunded:

  • Hosting: if you cancel within the first 30 days of ordering, we refund the amount. After that window the service isn't refundable, but you can cancel it so it doesn't renew.
  • VPS: as these are resources reserved just for you, they're not refundable once activated.
  • Domains: domain registrations and renewals are not refundable. When you register a domain the payment goes to the registry immediately and can't be reversed. This is standard across the whole industry.

How to request a refund:

  1. Open a ticket with the Billing department from your client area.
  2. Tell us which service or invoice is affected and why.
  3. We'll review your case and, where it applies, process the refund back to the same payment method you used.

The money usually takes a few days to show up on your account or card, depending on your bank. Payment-gateway fees, where they apply, are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Got questions before you buy? Just ask, no strings attached — we'd rather you get it right the first time.
