Managing DNS records (A, MX, CNAME, TXT) Print

  • 0

If you use GoServix default nameservers you can manage the DNS records of your domain directly from your client area:

  1. Sign in to www.goservix.com > Domains > My Domains.
  2. Click the domain and pick DNS Management in the left panel.
  3. Add, edit or delete the records you need.

Most common types:

  • A: points the domain to an IP address (e.g. your web server).
  • CNAME: alias pointing to another name (e.g. www → yourdomain.com).
  • MX: indicates the server receiving mail for the domain.
  • TXT: free text, used for SPF, DKIM, Google verification, etc.

Changes take a short while to propagate. If something does not work instantly, give it half an hour before touching anything else.
