FTP is the classic way to upload files to your hosting. To connect you need an FTP client such as FileZilla (free) or Cyberduck.
Connection details:
- Host: the hostname from your welcome email.
- Username: your cPanel username.
- Password: your cPanel password.
- Port: 21 (FTP) or 22 (SFTP — recommended, encrypted).
- Open FileZilla and enter the details in the top bar.
- Click Quickconnect.
- Your website files must go inside the public_html/ folder.
If you manage several clients or large files, we recommend creating extra FTP users from cPanel and using SFTP whenever possible.
