Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account: besides your password, you will need to enter a temporary code generated on your phone when signing in. Even if someone got your password, without your phone they could not get in.
It is free and we strongly recommend turning it on as soon as possible, especially if you manage domains or critical services.
- Install an authenticator app on your phone if you do not have one yet. We recommend Authy, Google Authenticator or 1Password.
- Sign in to www.goservix.com.
- In the top right, click your name and pick Security Settings.
- In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Enable.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app and enter the 6-digit code it shows.
- Save the backup codes somewhere safe (a password manager, for example). You will need them if you lose your phone.
From now on, every time you sign in it will ask for the 6-digit code after your password. From the same place you can disable it or regenerate the backup codes if needed.
What if I lose my phone? Use one of the backup codes to sign in. If you do not have them, open a ticket from the email linked to the account and we will verify your identity manually.
